Tuesday August 16th
There is LESS than 8 days left of SS&A IdoL 2005, and in 8 days the BORDER will crown ONE of our SS&A IdoL competitors the SS&A Star FM IdoL 2005!
The SEMI Final this Wednesday is rumored to be a packed house, so if you want to get a good spot to see the tension in the contestants faces be there early!
Some of our IdoL contestants are having cat fights behind the scenes over who will get to sing which song, leaving some of our IdoLs in tears! Mick McGlone, our "nasty" IdoL judge was rumored to have left the competition after several crowd threats & abuse for his 'harsh' comments, but this is NOT the case, he will return this week for our SEMI Finals in full Mick McGlone spirit so watch out IdoLs!
Last week's HEAT 5 was a huge controversy with 1 contestant pulling out after her first performance, we're not sure why, but possibly performers anxiety?
Miss World Australia 2004, Sarah Davis was a big hit gracing our presence for HEAT 5, Skater & Amos were seen trying to give her backstage cuddles & a little bit of foot kissing. Good news to some of our IdoL contestants, Miss World Australia was impressed by the hot fashion on stage at SS&A IdoL so good work to all of our HOT looking performers last week, keep it up for the FINALS!
Our IdoL judges have been accused several times of being biased & allowing favoritism to effect their judging process, so we conducted an interrogation interview to attempt to pursue the truth!
The results show that their judging process is fair, they are looking for more than just a singer, they want the BIG THREE:
1- Singing ability. (Yes, you have to be able to sing) 2 - Cosmetic appeal. (This means don't wear daggy clothes, dress up & do your hair) 3 - Audience appeal (If you connect with the crowd and they love you)
It appears that the majority of judge accusers are slightly disgruntled friends of IdoL contestants who did not proceed through to the SEMI Finals.
In other news & goss behind the scenes, hosts Amos & Skater have been signing plenty of autographs after their successful television campaign to promote the SS&A IdoL Finals on channel 10. They have been slightly concerned at the flash photography appearing to come from outside their bathroom windows though, it seems they are not quite ready for the paparazzi.
Aa few specific previous IdoL contestants were reduced to tears & frustration that they did not make it though to our IdoL finals, resulting in our soft heated IdoL crew allowing a few IdoL most memorable to make a cameo appearance at our GRAND FINAL, more details on who will be making appearances soon!
The night of nights, our IdoL GRAND FINAL is approaching fast, it will be a big night for all of our IdoL contestants, judges, hosts & organizers. It's expected to have massive media coverage across the border so make sure you look good in the audience & on stage!

Thursday July28th
What can we say about Heat III of SS&A Idol? Well, the judges selected some competitive talents to proceed to the semi finals, good luck guys! Amos wore a kilt/dress on stage and flashed a few people, Skater had microphone rage & our IdoL competitors were a mix of amazing & interesting people.
Our judges Kylie King, Mick McGlone & Bernard Zamiara selected Kelly Cartwright & Marcus Green to proceed through to the semi finals on August 17th, battling against each other semi finalist for a highly sought after place in the Top 5 places competing inside the grand final for our major prize! A weekend getaway for 2 flying Rex, staying at the Country Comfort Central Sydney & enjoying some hot activities including a Harbour bridge climb, Harbour tours & the all new SKYwalk attraction. $2000 worth of prizes for our GRAND winner of SS&A IdoL 2005, plus the official title of Border SS&A IdoL 2005.
After a slight technical hiccup at the beginning, we wern't able to play, "Behind The IdoL", so Skater & Amos kicked off the show without it, and as they opened the show sharing Amos' microphone, (Skater's was not working), the IdoL performers began to sing!
All the technical problems were eventually sorted by the smart StarField entertainment crew & the show went on. Backstage, Amos was demanding pens, SS&A Manager LeVene supplied 4 pens to Amos & he was happy. Skater sipped on a glass of wine & Starry from StarField gave Amos & Skater his left over pizza backstage which was all eaten by the boys.

Tuesday July26th
Heat III of SS&A IdoL rumbles in anticipation for tomorrow night's MASSIVE show. We like to keep our ears to the ground to seek out all the secret goss & rumors behind the scenes, and we heard a big rumor this morning that Amos one of our IdoL hosts will be wearing some sort of a kilt dress on stage tomorrow night at the SS&A club... We will be there to check this out for ourselves!!
Meanwhile in the land of our other host Skater, we hear he will be wearing a new special cologne with pheromones in it, pheromones are a chemical hormonal element which will communicate Skaters masculinity towards anyone who gets close to him, so watch out girls & guys, get too close and you might find yourself wanting to cuddle him for no particular reason.
Our esteemed & diva judges, Kylie King, Bernard Zamiara & Mick McGlone are getting their botox injections at the moment, not that they need them, well maybe Mick, but that was just part of the whole package we think. Just for a moment though, lets reflect on our lovely panel of judges, sitting on their judge box perch every week, judging our contestants, doing a fine job... WELL behind the scenes it's just a big catfight about who's sitting in which chair, demanding cheese platters backstage, the SS&A club have even had to adjust room temperature to cater for our diva judges!! Such is the price of inviting our important panel of judges every week.
We can't only tell one half of the story though can we, the judges aren't the only diva's in the competition, Hosts, Skater & Amos keep riding up their drink tab back stage, while eating their private servings of gourmet seafood they order because they insist the show will not go on without!
Other observations see that some of our contestants are not quite IdoL material when it comes to the fashion side of things, so far we have had some amazingly well dressed performers who have made a huge impression on our judges. We've also had some contestants who look like they found some dirty rags in the swamp, hauled them out and wore them to the show! It's always interesting to check out the strange stage fashions of our competitors! A tip though for our performers, what you wear will make a significant difference in the judging process, so make a great impression on our judges with your choice of outfit for the night, after all, we are looking for an IDOL, not a karaoke singer, and although we've been entertained by a few of them so far, it wont get you through to our semi finals.

Idol heat 2 is over, propelling 2 more contestants into the Semi Finals, with the possible chance that one of these contestants will take home the ultimate, coveted crown as "BORDER SS&A IDOL 2005" along with the major prize including a weekend getaway to Sydney.
Congratulations to Katie Baldock & Elissa Van Dorst who are both through to the Semi Finals August 24th!

Tuesday July19th
The gossip around the border about SS&A IdoL is peaking already... and we have only just begun. Tomorrow night's SS&A IdoL heat will see another 2 contestants through to the Semi Finals August 17, registrations are currently open, but will not remain open much longer for this heat due to the cut off limit we have for each heat. Register now if you wish to compete in SS&A Idol for the Major prize.
Amos & Skater have been doing nudie runs in David & Olive streets either side of the SS&A club in anticipation that they will attract a bigger crowd, but instead, Kylie King from the SS&A club thinks that people will be scared away at the site of a nudie Skater & Amos.
The hot goss is that there will be a new show on the big screen about 15 minutes before showtime at 9pm, called "Behind The Idol", with Amos & Skater. We're not sure what those 2 guys will get up to, but we hear that it will be a talk show all about the highlights and not so high lit bits of the last week... sure to be somewhat entertaining so get to the SS&A club about 8:45 tomorrow night if you want to catch this little experience.
Mick McGlone, Kylie King & Bernard Zamiara (AKA BZ), are back again this week as well, resuming their roles as the people everyone has to impress.... the judges. They are not easy to please, with anything... Be sure to be the best performer if you're entering SS&A Idol this week, they will be looking for someone who can perform, not just sing. Someone who knows how to dress, how to move on stage, address the audience, and of course.. sing.

The first heat of SS&A Idol is over, 6 weeks remain until we crown our IDOL of the Border.
Backstage before the gig Skater & Amos were slapping each other in the face to overcome their stage nerves. Plenty of drama involved inside and behind the scenes of SS&A IdoL. Including one of our contestants, who walked out halfway through the show after her first performance for the evening due to embarrassment and no will to continue her performance.
Inside goss from sources say that some contestants, are unhappy and feel that IdoL judges were biased & that the judging was rigged, boycotting the return of themselves to the competition completely. We can rest assured that all judging processes remain strictly professional, and whilst every contestant will not proceed to the Semi Final, our IdoL judges must only choose 2 contestants from each round.

Guys & Chicks, the first heat of SS&A STAR FM Idol is tonight at 9PM, but if you want to compete in it, then you have to register now, here at the website & make sure you are at the SS&A Idol stage by 8PM for your briefing.

Latest rumors surfacing reveal that Skater & Amos are having a HUGE fashion crisis about what they are going to wear for tonight's IdoL competition, sources say that Amos was spotted down at vinnies looking for a suit & tie, while others suspect that Skater will be wearing a tuxedo.
Tonight's guest judge is rumoured to be Media Guru, Bernard Zamiara, you might know his work around town as the nightclub poster you have walked past 500 times, the voice at the other end of that microphone when you walk through any shopping plaza on the border.
Along with Mick McGlone from the Border Mail & Kylie King from the SS&A Club, these are the key judges you will need to impress with your singing abilities in order to go through to the next round and be eligible to take home the crown of SS&A STAR FM IDOL! Plus a weekend getaway for two, flying rex all the way to the Country Comfort Sydney Central.
